SM!T Architects is a leading, award- winning practice based in Bloemfontein, Free State, but practicing throughout  South Africa and Namibia. Both Jan and Petria lectured for 25 years at university where Jan is still a part – time professor. Their academic work focuses on meaningful place-making and since they started practicing, the completed architectural work became testament to this approach.
